The Venetian Gown - ex display item

The exquisite Venetian Gown is made from a pure 100% black silk dupion. It has a fitted, lightly boned bodice with a very full, layered skirt gathered on to it. The front panel is velvet with a printed toile design. The sleeves are tight to the top of the arm then drop dramatically from the elbow. The bodice and sleeves are trimmed with an ornate guipure braid. The underskirt is a gathered 'silvery' velvet, that tones with the front panel.
The back of the dress is laced up with a decorative ribbon detail. The back can be laced slightly open to fit a larger chest.
If a fuller look to the skirt is desired, a hooped petticoat can be worn underneath.

The dress that is for sale is one of two studio samples. There is some very slight fading on one of the sleeves, but this is not really noticeable.
