Sizing

Before placing your order we strongly recommend that you check your size against the chart below. The measurements listed in the chart refer to the body measurement that the given size is intended to fit.

The actual size of the garment will vary according to the nature of the design. For example a medium corset that is intended to be worn tight will correspond almost exactly to the body measurement listed. On the other hand, a coat that is designed to be worn over other garments will be cut a few inches larger than the body measurement to allow for ease of fit.

The chart below is a rough guide only, most of our garments are cut with a lot more room in the waist than the proportions in the chart below. If you are in doubt about which size to order, email your measurements to us, we will check them against the actual garment and advise further.

If our standard sizes are not suitable for you, we do offer a couture service on selected designs. We are also able to offer a basic alteration service on some items in our standard range.

 Mens Sizing

Our mens coats and waistcoats are sold by chest size. The size of the garment will vary according to the nature of the design, for example, a size 38" waistcoat will be smaller than a size 38" coat. The coat is intended to be worn over other garments and is therefore cut larger.

Jeans sizes refer to the waistband size. The waistband of a size 34" pair of jeans will measure exactly 34". If you are in doubt about what size to order, simply measure the waist of a pair of jeans that fit you comfortably and order the same size.

Mens Shirts are available in the standard sizes S/M - L/XL - XXL

As a rough guide these sizes will fit the following chest measurements:

S/M fit chest 34"/86cm to 40"/101cm

L/XL fit chest 42"/107cm to 44"/112cm

XXL fit chest 46"/117cm to 50"/127cm
